Dunsfold Park Proud Sponsors of CALM Charity Rugby Match

Dunsfold Park is delighted to be supporting local charity rugby match, Cranleigh RFC vs CALM Barbarians on Saturday 14th March. A group of local rugby players, ex-players and enthusiasts have joined together to arrange the charity event in aid of grassroots campaigning organisation Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

CALM is a leading movement against suicide and the event is being organised to raise funds and awareness of male mental health. At the heart of Cranleigh village since 1967, Cranleigh Rugby Club is hosting the match which takes place on Saturday 14th March with gates opening at 12.00 and kick off at 13.00.

Playing Cranleigh RFC’s 1st team, the CALM Barbarians are a mixture of ex Cranleigh players who played together at youth level, and other friends who have links to the CALM charity.

The match is aiming to raise £2,000 for CALM through ticket donations of £5, a charity auction and raffle. Hot food and a full bar are available on the day. To purchase a ticket or donate, visit: www.justgiving.com/CRFC2020.

Ben Hearsum, Event Organiser, comments: “It is estimated that in 2018 CALM helped save close to 700 lives. All of which would have been someone’s father, son, brother or friend. In organising this event we are asking local rugby fans, their friends and family to help us save lives by joining us at the match, donating and helping us raise awareness. We hope to see everyone at the club for what will be a great day out!”
